Position Summary:
We’re seeking a warm, experienced, and team-oriented Program Staff Facilitator to support our mission through regular facilitation of cancer and grief support groups, 1:1 member intake, community outreach, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is a licensed mental health professional with excellent group facilitation skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to create a safe, inclusive space for members of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate weekly support and monthly networking groups for adults, teens, and children impacted by cancer or grief.
- Conduct member intakes, assessments, and distress screenings.
- Maintain group records, notes, attendance, and follow-ups.
- Represent Gilda’s Club at healthcare partner meetings and community events.
- Provide general program support, tours, and assist with events.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to uphold Gilda’s Club’s philosophy and welcoming culture.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (licensure required).
- 5 years of clinical experience preferred; strong group facilitation skills essential.
- Comfort discussing serious illness, grief, and end-of-life topics.
- Technologically proficient (telehealth, scheduling, documentation).
- Empathetic, flexible, emotionally mature, and a true team player.
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs and assist with light setup/cleanup.
