The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is a 110-year-old organization serving 13,000 girls and adults in Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop programs for large-scale events, including Festival of the Arts, and coordinates the creation of resources, including volunteer support materials, Event Guide, program packets, patch programs, and run of show schedules.
- Partners with marketing team to develop and execute promotional efforts for programs and events that ensure consistent brand experience, including regular social media posts, electronic communication, and flyers for distribution within council and across community.
- Collaborates effectively with all departments to promote program delivery and support the goals of girl recruitment and retention.
- Measures outcomes on key events/activities and provides cost analysis for offered programs.
- Keeps abreast of trends and issues in the community affecting girl and council services; monitors GSUSA's changes, trends and requirements related to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and council offerings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years of previous work experience (sales or event planning is a plus).
Experience
- Two years of large event planning and logistics coordination.
- Two years of program implementation or commensurate experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Windows, Office and Outlook.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Girl Scout program, principles and standards.
- Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers and facilitators.
Specific Skills and Requirements
- Ability to set personal goals, regularly prioritize tasks, and self-motivate
- Ability to coordinate all aspects of small and large events including scheduling, event logistics, facilitation, and execution
- Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- Proven decision making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience interacting with volunteers/members/staff and potential volunteers/members and the public, providing prompt and courteous customer service to all in person, via phone, and in writing
- Demonstrated experience leading volunteer committees or groups
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Possess valid driver's license and proof of insurance
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Non-traditional work hours are expected.
- At least 50% of the work will be performed outside of the office.
- Travel within the council's jurisdiction on a regular basis.
- Work environment includes both office and outdoor environments.
