About Our Camp
Camp St. Albans is situated on 414 acres of woodland, offering five miles of trails surrounding Lake Devereaux.
The camp is equipped with Viking Boats and resident gnomes, providing an immersive and engaging environment for campers to explore their interests.
Campers can choose from a range of activities, including arts and crafts, archery, swimming, and boating.
Programs focused on outdoor survival skills, space discovery, and woodworking are also available.
As the Healthcare Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of campers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the camp health house, including administering medications and first aid care.
- Reviewing health histories and conducting health screenings as necessary.
- Facilitating transportation to outside healthcare facilities when required.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
You will also be involved in camp operations, including mealtime, games, and campfires.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a state license or registration as a physician, physician's assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, LVN, paramedic, or EMT.
Experience working with youth aged 6-17 is also essential.
Certification in First Aid/CPR and Youth Mental Health First Aid are highly desirable.
