Glassical Designs is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeping/Accounting professional to join our growing team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and review primary financial data for accounting records: Collect and verify receipts, invoices, bank statements, and other financial documents to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.

• Accurately compute and record numerical data: Process financial transactions (sales, expenses, payments, etc.) and record them in our accounting software, ensuring that all amounts are correct and categorized properly.

• Ensure the accuracy of business transactions: Regularly review and reconcile financial records to make sure transactions are accurate and compliant with accounting standards and company policies.

• Perform data entry and handle various administrative tasks: Input financial information into accounting software, maintain filing systems for financial records, and assist with general administrative tasks related to finance.

• Invoice customers and apply payments to open invoices: Generate and send invoices to customers, track outstanding balances, and apply payments accurately to the correct invoices in the system. Ensure timely collection of payments.

• Audit business accounts to maintain financial integrity: Review company accounts to identify discrepancies, prevent fraud, and ensure that all financial records reflect the true state of the business. Assist with periodic internal audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or AccountEdge programs: You should be comfortable using accounting software to record, track, and report on financial transactions.

• Exceptional organizational skills: You will need to stay organized, keep track of multiple tasks, and maintain a well-structured filing system for financial documents.

• Ability to prioritize and multitask: We are a fast-paced environment, so the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential.

• Deadline-driven with a keen eye for detail: Accuracy is key in this role, and you will be expected to meet deadlines while ensuring no details are overlooked.

• Strong communication skills: You should be able to clearly communicate with other team members, vendors, and customers when necessary, especially when dealing with financial questions or discrepancies.

Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

• Some overtime may be required based on workload, particularly during peak seasons or month-end close.

Pay:

• Starting at $18.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour, depending on prior experience in accounting or a related field.
