This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to prioritize and drive training initiatives, identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees. The Director, Talent Management is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to prioritize and drive training initiatives, identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees the execution of enterprise-wide and local training initiatives.
- Collaborates with the business to identify and execute training and development-related initiatives
- Assesses relative value of “build vs buy” for identified training interventions.
- Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization or the industry.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Trains and/or coaches others to deliver training content.
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
- Prepares and implements training budget.
- 25% travel expected.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other HR-related degree.
- Minimum five (7) years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large groups.
- Proficient with MS Office or related software.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Active member with ATD or other Talent Management-related network group
- Lean Sigma or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
