Are you passionate about enriching the lives of older adults? Glenmeadow, a premier Life Plan Community, is seeking a Lead Life Enrichment Associate to oversee and enhance our wellness-focused programs.
About the Role:
As a Lead Life Enrichment Associate, you will supervise and guide Life Enrichment staff, organizing and implementing a diverse range of social, educational, recreational, and physical programs that promote the well-being of our vibrant residents. Your leadership will foster engagement, purpose, and joy while ensuring a smooth transition for new residents and managing Glenmeadow’s volunteer program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging social and physical programs and monthly calendars for residents.
- Supervise and train Life Enrichment staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate new resident transitions and develop dementia-focused activities.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and wellness teams to support resident well-being.
- Facilitate engaging physical and aquatic exercise classes,
- Conduct small and large group programs.
- Encourage residents to participate in scheduled events.
- Ability to work extra shifts upon request.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in life enrichment, activities, or related fields (certification preferred).
- Supervisory experience and ability to lead a team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for working with older adults and fostering community engagement
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must enjoy and be able to work well with older adults, including those with cognitive difficulties/deficits and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience in working with older adults and understanding their varying levels of capabilities as they age.
- Knowledge of operation of audiovisual equipment.
- Has a working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word/Excel and Publisher.
- Ability to learn and operate computer programs.
- Ability to relate well to all members of the Glenmeadow Community.
- Ability to deal tactfully with colleagues, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
- Knowledge of infection control and Universal Precaution procedures.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license preferred.
