JOB SUMMARY
Historic Wagner Farm is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to serve as our new Customer Service and Engagement Specialist. This position oversees front desk operations, ice cream parlor and rental staff and participates in programming and historical interpretation. This position serves as farm Social Media Coordinator and Glenview Farmers’ Market Manager. It also serves as the Manager on Duty on weekends, which includes assigning work to staff, handling employee and customer complaints and providing input on personnel decisions. This position has direct supervisory responsibility for part-time staff and works closely with the Assistant Farm Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The target hiring range is $27.40/hour-$29.33/hour ($57,000-$61,000 annually), depending on qualifications.
ABOUT HISTORIC WAGNER FARM
Historic Wagner Farm is an award-winning, living-history museum depicting American farming in the 1920s and offers educational programs, special events and is open for regular visitation by the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Museum Studies, Interpretation, Recreation or a related field. The district will consider relevant experience in lieu of formal education. At least three (3) years of related experience and prior supervisory experience required. A valid Illinois driver’s license is required.
SCHEDULING & PAY
This is a year-round full-time, hourly position. The typical schedule includes: Saturday-Wednesday (June 1-mid-October) and Tuesday-Saturday in the off-season.
