Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure compliance throughout the procurement process.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Manage materials management processes, including inventory control and forecasting needs.
- Collaborate with quality management teams to ensure that procured materials meet required standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on procurement issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
- Familiarity with materials management principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and software applications is a plus.
