POSITION TITLE: Inventory Control Supervisor (ICS)
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt and Full-time
EXPERIENCE: 3 Years
REPORTS TO: Director of Global Operations
COMPENSATION: $60,000 to $75,000
POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of GEM’s physical and system inventories across all GEM facilities. The ICS will partner with operations and finance to help build, monitor, and maintain efficient processes and procedures relating to inventory management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage physical-to-system inventory discrepancies within one percent (1.0%) variance across all GEM facilities.
- Perform site audits to ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of all inventories in accordance with OSHA, FA, Fair & Equitable distribution guidelines.
- Maintain organizational compliance with OSHA, Department of Health, food industry and other relevant licensing and permitting entities.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed across operations. Including but not limited to: Cycle Counting, First-Expire First-Out (FEFO), Loss control and Inventory shrinkage.
- Reconcile physical and system inventory against external stakeholder records including donors and vendors.
- Reconcile inventory records in coordination with the Finance department to the general ledger for financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze KPIs reports to maximize effective product rotation and reduce waste.
- Investigate, track and report warehouse errors.
- Maintain records on inventory levels and inventory valuation.
- Schedule and lead regular inventory meetings with appropriate stakeholders and ensure active participation.
- Assist management as necessary.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Ability to maintain a pleasant and calm demeanor under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively using various communication mediums, e-mail, written correspondence, phones, etc.
- Excellent computer and technology skills; schedule video conference using a variety of software such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Suite or Google Docs.
- High-level of Excel aptitude required: able to create complex formulas and Pivot tables required.
- Minimum five years of inventory management experience preferred.
- Minimum three years of management experience.
- Strong computer proficiency including inventory control systems required (database management preferred).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work with a diverse staff and external constituencies required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Strong analytical, data-interpretation, planning, and problem-solving skills required.
- Demonstrated industry experience with various warehouse departments and tasks preferred.
- Able to operate warehouse material handling equipment preferred (stand-up counterbalance, reach truck, rider-jack, etc.).
- Able to develop, implement, and execute new initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
