Job Title : Assembly Technician
Location : Marlborough, MA
Duration : 6-month Contract
Work Type : Onsite
Pay Range : $24 - $25 / Hr
Hours : 7 AM - 3 : 30 PM
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities :
Study, read, and understand the schematic diagrams, blueprints, product manuals, and process documents, and gather information regarding parts, fixtures, tools, etc.
Operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the Manager
Complete manufacturing paperwork correctly
Assemble parts or components to build a whole new product
Work with small components using a microscope.
Perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that the product is formed in accordance with the specifications
Implement and identify needs for improvement by conveying it to the senior personnel, so that the quality of products is maintained
General Summary :
Assembly Technicians are responsible for the manufacturing of components and finished devices.
They are expected to complete basic mechanical assembly using fixtures and tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, heat guns, and calipers.
They inspect completed assemblies to ensure they conform to instructions and specifications and package them for sterilization and or finished goods inventory. Experience in assembly in a clean room CER environment and applicable gowning procedures required.
Assembly Technicians may also help Operations, research and development, and Quality with the development of manufacturing processes and specifications.
Scope Of Position Responsibilities :
Receives direction from the Director of Operations for all manufacturing and research and development activities.
Requirements :
Education : High school diploma or above
Experience : Minimum of five years in Medical Device assembly or equivalent
