Majority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspects incoming materials and parts visually and mechanically from outside vendors to ensure conformance to specifications and certifications.
- Performs in-process inspection of parts and operations at any stage of production.
- Performs finished parts inspection prior to shipping to confirm specifications have been met.
- Performs inspections as required using height gauges, micrometers, indicators, tape measures, calipers, optical comparators, and scales.
- Prepares parts and respective paperwork for customer or source inspection.
- Creates legible Inspection Reports recording the results of inspection and keeps documentation organized.
- Supports other Quality Department tasks as needed
- Supports the overall business through the timely completion of inspection and documentation tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read simple blueprints/sketches.
- Maintains accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must have a good understanding of basic arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Material handling and Forklift experience preferred.
- Strong time management and commitment to get the job done.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to move about a large manufacturing facility.
- Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to wear PPE as necessary (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, etc.).
