Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment. This oftentimes includes performing ad hoc clerk duties as needed.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Primary
- Create a welcoming environment and manage reception area
- Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations
- Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information, and take messages
- Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided
Secondary
- Keep documents such as sign-in sheets and telephone directory up-to-date
- Filing/Organizing/Maintaining employee records
- Assist with constructing identification badges for employees; take pictures for badges and enter into system
- Work collaboratively with supervisors to assign lockers; maintain locker records
- Other duties assigned

- Excellent speaking skills and ability to convey information effectively and the ability to interact with a diverse group of staff.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organization and record-keeping skills
- Strong social perceptiveness skills. Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do and knowing how to react appropriately.
Education & Experience
- Previous experience as a Receptionist or Admin Assistant preferred
- Must have valid drivers license

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
