Yard Associate

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Yard Associate to join our team at Hennick's Home Center in Bandon. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically active, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. As a Yard Associate, you’ll play a key role in helping customers load materials, maintaining a clean and organized yard, and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
  
• Ensure yard areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked
  
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and condition
  
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (training provided if needed)
  
• Help customers locate items and provide knowledgeable, courteous service
  
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar outdoor labor role is a plus
  
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in various weather conditions
  
• Basic understanding of building materials and hardware (or willingness to learn)
  
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-player mindset
  
• Valid driver’s license may be required for some tasks (e.g. equipment use)
