Position Title: Student Assistant
Department Name: Finance
Position Reports To: Accounts Payable Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-exempt
Benefits: Limited University's benefits
Days & Hours: Variable weekly schedule to be established by supervisor. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods. This position is in-person.
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:
Provide assistance to Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with accounts payable data entry.
- Assist with tracking of purchasing card and out-of-pocket expense reimbursement activity. Ensure proper supporting documentation, descriptions, and coding are provided for all transactions. Ensure monthly cardholder statements and expense reimbursements have all necessary approvals. Follow up with accountholders for missing or incomplete information.
- Assist Accountants with general office duties.
- Special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of MS applications (MS Word, MS Excel).
- Experience operating general office equipment (fax machines, copiers, scanners, printers, 10-key, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled at GGU.
