Job Summary:
Golden Isles Olive Oil is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their dining experience is delightful and memorable. Your primary responsibilities will include taking food and beverage orders, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers, ensuring their preferences and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Make knowledgeable recommendations to customers based on their preferences and the menu offerings.
- Relay orders to the kitchen promptly and ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders by verifying their contents before serving.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Check in with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and promptly address any concerns or requests.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide detailed information about menu items, olive oils, and vinegar products, and suggest pairing options.
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and resetting tables for the next customers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Upsell additional menu items, olive oils, and vinegar products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and using point-of-sale systems.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, including new menu items and olive oil offerings, to provide accurate information to customers.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and interest in gourmet food, olive oils, and vinegar products is a plus.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and processing payments.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
