Overview
We are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our freight warehouse team at Golden North. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, store, & unload freight of various sizes & weights within the warehouse as well as general maintenance on equipment. This role requires someone self motivated, punctual, detail oriented, eager to learn, and experienced in order to excel. This position is full time, Monday - Friday, with the possibility of overtime. Duties
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and store shipments.
- Document shipments arrival & any damages upon offload.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safe handling practices are followed at all time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to stack/shrink wrap/band pallets as needed.
- Starting trucks at the start of shift & bringing all keys in at end of shift
- Collaborate with dock management to assist as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred; but not required.
- Valid Drivers License or proof of reliable transportation in the form of non familial references with contacts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in materials handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 75 lbs) safely and efficiently.
- GED, Diploma, or equivalent experience required.
- Must be at least 18.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
