Description:
Under direct supervision, safely and effectively supports the daily stockpoint operations through mixing liquid mud, loading bulk products, and shipping and receiving pallet materials for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of quality customer service, world-class safety, and stockpoint efficiency. Checks material orders for proper quantities. Operates forklifts as required. Skills are typically acquired through completion of a High School diploma or equivalent.
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
Duties
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts such as order pickers, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and materials handling
- Experience working in a distribution center is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
