Key Responsibilities:

Billing: Prepare and submit client invoices, monitor outstanding accounts, and follow up on collections to ensure timely payments.
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR): Process invoices, handle payment requests, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
General Ledger (GL): Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities related to projects.
Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports for internal stakeholders, providing insights into project profitability and cost management.
Compliance: Ensure financial practices are in compliance with company policies, contracts, and relevant construction industry regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to review budgets, analyze financial performance, and address any discrepancies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 1 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of project accounting, billing, and construction industry practices. Proficient in journal entries, reconciliations, and GL management.
Software: Experience with accounting software commonly used in the construction industry (e.g., Sage 300, ProCore, Viewpoint, or similar).
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for project teams.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and team members.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in financial documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a mid-sized construction firm or related.
Familiarity with construction contracts, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
Experience with ERP systems or specialized construction accounting software.
