Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Record and classify financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, ensure timely payment to vendors, and reconcile vendor statements.
- Monitor accounts receivable, generate customer invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide regular financial reports to management to support decision-making.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and collaborate with external auditors as needed.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets.
- Track and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations.
Payroll Processing:
- Assist in the processing of payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and address any payroll-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
