What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Receptionist position at Goldsboro Dental Arts?
We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has a great attitude & personality. You will be the first person a patient sees walking into our office & their experience with the receptionist is just as important as w/ the clinical team. The ideal candidate: Hard worker, timely when arriving to work & completing tasks at hand, multi-tasking, able to jump in when needed to assist team members, dependable, & trustworthy.
Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00-4:00 Friday: Closed (w/ opt to come in & complete admin duties as needed.)
Job Duties for Dental Receptionist:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Checking patients in & out.
- Collect payments from patients, fill in cancellations and no show appointment times.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
- Updating patient records & documenting recent treatments & procedures.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments & providing telephonic reminders.
- Assist insurance personnel w/ insurance eligibility & ensure tx plan estimates are correct based off info. collected from insurance.
- Verifying methods of payment & collecting payments as needed.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, & faxing.
- Assisting in the cleaning duties of the office to maintain a clean & organized work space.
- Prepare & send patient statements
- Running office errands as needed
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields
- Required Dental Office experience
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
