Build Leader

Purpose of Position:
Coordinate assembly activities for project and tools, coordinating resolution of nonconforming product and design changes, assign tasks to build members and contract workers, coordinate completion of process checklists related to build, interface with internal and external customers, order of non-B.O.M., work within budgets, and report to budgets.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Fit and assemble components according to assembly prints, manuals, design changes, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment, using hand and power tools.
- Analyze assembly prints and component manuals, and plan machine building operations.
- Verify conformance of incoming parts to BOM and blueprints, using measuring instruments.
- Coordinate and assign assembly activities to build team.
- Perform in-process inspection per checklists.
- Communicate with internal and external customers.
- Work within and report to budget.
- Follow other directions set by manufacturing management.
- Be familiar with welding requirements, floor layouts, and field service support.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes (with rigging), and lifts.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Print reading
- Good communication skills

- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Qualified candidates possess:
- Education: H.S Diploma, Trade School, or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience machine building
Physical requirements (to include but not limited to):
- Spend Time Bending or Twisting the Body
- Spend Time Climbing Ladders, Kneeling, Crouching, Standing, and Walking
- Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs. and wear PPE (when necessary)
