IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Location: Pontiac, MI; Employment Type: Full-time; Pay Type: Salaried Reports To: CIO; Department: IT; Classification: Exempt

There are two main divisions of Gonzalez: Gonzalez Production Systems (GPS), which is primarily involved in robotics automation & integration and Gonzalez Contract Services (GCS), which is a staffing company that also does prototype engineering and manufacturing. Purpose of Position:
Gonzalez Production Systems is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team and support our growing IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
- Assist with the setup and management of user accounts, email systems, and security access.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems.
- Support data backup and recovery processes.
- Document technical procedures and maintain IT inventory records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Proficiency in help desk ticket systems.
- Ability to take direction and willingness to grow your skillset and learn new technologies.
- Aware of Quality Performance Metrics and actively supports continuous improvement.
- Develops and maintains open relationships with all Gonzalez employees.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Committed to privacy and confidentiality of data.
- IT certifications (CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate’s degree or higher or IT certifications preferred.
Physical requirements (to include but not limited to):
- Ability to sit and move around when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, lean, bend, climb ladders, etc. in an office or manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear PPE (when necessary)
Travel Requirements:
- May be required to travel to local company facilities to setup and troubleshoot IT equipment.
