Cafe/Ice Cream Associate

Good News Ice Cream sells and makes delicious in-house ice cream. We also serve coffee drinks, breakfast, lunch and other retail items. We are looking to hire 1 candidate to work mornings shifts on Fridays 9:00 am - 4 pm and Saturday Shifts 8am - Noon, with expanded hours in the summer. We are currently open for business from 10am-9pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10am-9:30pm Thursdays, 10am-11pm Fridays, 10am-12am Saturdays and 10am-8:30pm Sundays. This a seasonal job and more hours are available from May-September and less from October-April. We are a growing business and we require applicants are determined to continue this growth and adapt with our application of new products, procedures and job requirements. The most important qualities in applicants we are looking for is someone who is joyful, friendly, has willingness to learn and has a strong work ethic.

Job Duties:

• Operating point of sales system to process customer orders and payments
• Ensuring store cleanliness is maintained during assigned shifts
• Scooping and serving ice cream with precision and accuracy
• Processing food and drink orders
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and a friendly attitude when interacting with customers and staff
• High awareness in restocking essential items and ingredients
• Completing required checklists with precision
• Able to lift 25 pounds

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must be extemely reliable and are able to request time off with no less than a two weeks notice
• Applicants must be able to work with co-workers as a team by sharing required duties and responsibilities

• Applicants must be willing to learn and adapt with our growing business
• Applicants must be the age of 18 or older
• It is a bonus if an applicant wanting to work mornings have creative artistic talent
• It is also a bonus if an applicant wanting to work mornings have barista experience

Job Types: Part-time

Hourly Pay: From $18.50-$22 per hour with inclusion of tips and based on position

We participate in tip share therefore pay can range
