We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
About the Job
This position requires knowledge of age-related care and the ability to deliver high-quality care while promoting independence and dignity among residents. You will assist with basic health care needs, document resident interactions, and communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and transferring/repositioning
* Assist with meal preparation and dining, creating a positive experience for residents
* Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
* Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
* Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
Requirements
* High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
* Minimum age of 16
* Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
* Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
