We are seeking a certified nursing assistant to join our nursing team in Canistota, SD.
As a certified nursing assistant, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Knowledge of and delivery of age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan is essential.
Considered a member of the nursing team, you are expected to know and will be held accountable for following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
Responsibilities include assisting with basic health care needs including daily living activities, aiding providers and nursing staff members with procedures, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, communicating resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses, collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens, gathering vital signs, providing housekeeping and laundry services, and participating in wellness and recreational programs.
A minimum of 12 hours continuing education credits are required annually, and a Sanford Category II Driver classification may apply depending on facility and required responsibilities.
