We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at GSS MN Luverne. As a Nursing Assistant, you will serve as caregiver to residents during the scheduled work period in long term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
The ideal candidate will have a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
You will be responsible for providing assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
In addition, you will assist the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, provide range of motion and passive exercises, and complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
This role requires you to communicate effectively with healthcare staff, residents, and family members, document resident interactions as needed, and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.

Requirements:

- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
