Job Summary
The LPN provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care facilities under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN must possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications
Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility.
