Purpose of Job Position: Plans, coordinates, supervises and implements nursing services for assigned residents as part of the gerontological interdisciplinary team. Supervises and implements care for assigned residents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5 Years of Accounting Experience
- 3 Years of Long-Term Care Experience
Responsibilities
- The Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in directing and coordinating accounting activities across all entities of Good Shepherd Services.
- This position is essential for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- The Financial Accountant will work closely with an outside CPA firm to complete the annual financial audit, annual retirement audit, and the Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports ensuring that all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported.
- In this role, The Financial Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including but not limited to managing accounts receivable, and maintaining the general ledger accounts.
- The position requires a strong focus on reconciling daily deposit reports with bank and accounting records, generating month-end reports, and recording daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly general ledger entries.
- The Financial Accountant will oversee the Finance Department, conduct yearly reviews of department staff, and ensure the professional development of team members.
- Additionally, the Financial Accountant will prepare P&L and Balance Sheet reports for all GSS entities.
- The Financial Accountant will be critically responsible for the financial budgeting for all GSS entities, along with reconciliation of accruals and depreciations.
- The Financial Accountant will also work closely with the Director of Business Operations for audits requests and payroll transactions, ensuring that all financial activities align with the organizational goals.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this an integral role within the GSS Leadership team.
Wage $60,000-$80,000 based on experience
