JOB SUMMARY:
The Bilingual HR Assistant will provide support in most areas of human resources including recruiting, staffing, training, and HRIS management. The HR Assistant will focus efforts on recruitment and retention of Spanish speaking employees, while supporting other efforts of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support in recruitment and hiring, including sourcing potential candidates, scheduling and assisting with interviews, performing candidate background checks, inputting data into HRIS, maintaining HR electronic files and reports, and assisting employees with completion of new hire electronic paperwork, onboarding, and related training
- Establish relationships with community partners for recruitment and training resources
- Assist in the maintenance of forms, documents, and policies
- Answer and/or refer employee questions about policies or procedures
- Assist in personnel matters as requested
- Generate documentation and reports as needed
- Assist in company events
- Contribute to employee newsletter
- Complete other duties/tasks as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred
- One to three years general office/clerical experience required, specific experience in Human Resources highly preferred
- Highly proficient in full MS Office Suite, internet, and general computer usage. Experience with ADP Workforce now highly preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid state drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light
Lifting up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.
