Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a Digital Skills Instructor to join our Mission Services team.
The Digital Skills Instructor will create and deliver effective and engaging digital literacy workshops to Goodwill employees and community members. You will work to provide instruction and support to encourage and advance learning for workshop participants. This position will require travel within the 10-county territory that we serve.
Basic Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in education, computer science, information science, or a related field is preferred, or three years of experience teaching digital skills and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license and automotive insurance. Must regularly provide the agency with proof of valid auto insurance.
- Travel is required within communities served and may include transporting the individual served as necessary.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Works a flexible and varying schedule that may include nights or weekends as determined by the needs of the individual served.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks that change often.Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
Essential Functions:
- Create curriculums and objectives focusing on a wide variety of digital skills to meet the needs of Goodwill employees and the community.
- Conduct workshops and training throughout Goodwill's ten-county territory.
- Produce clear, concise, and user-friendly instructional materials to support workshops and training.
- Tailor teaching and support techniques to effectively meet the needs of diverse learners of varying skill levels.
- Adapt workshops to meet the needs of the workshop participants.
- Assist workshop participants one-on-one as needed.
- Complete skill assessments.
- Accurately collect, analyze, and track data for workshop participants.
- Conduct outreach efforts to explain the available services.
- Attending all internal and external meetings and training courses as required.
- Comply with agency policies, procedures, contractual guidelines, safety and security regulations, and rules protecting participants' confidentiality.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
