E-Commerce Jewelry Assistant Manager

The eCommerce Jewelry Assistant Manager works in conjunction with the eCommerce Manager in fulfilling all
jewelry department goals, as well as implementing initiatives to maximize production, sales and customer service
of the jewelry department. They will work primarily in the jewelry area of the eCommerce department and must be
able to work both independently as well as within a team environment. Assist the eCommerce management staff in
the operation of the eCommerce Department with a main focus on the jewelry department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for meeting eCommerce jewelry department goals and supervision of eCommerce jewelry department employees; Maintain controllable expenses at or below budgeted levels for the jewelry department. Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating performance of jewelry department employees. Use inspections of listings and training to limit returns in the jewelry department. Meet or exceed quality standards of work produced. Accurately represent all items (including damages, imperfections, defects) through photographs, written/typed item descriptions and UPC scans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of jewelry and watches. Ability to receive, follow and give directions and to communicate effectively; knowledge to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs. Ability and knowledge to research jewelry and watches online, through multiple websites. Ability to use basic math skills; stand for extended periods of time, and to ambulate independently, to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull. Ability to read fine print/engraving and recognize colors.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. 1 year of retail experience required.
3. E-bay, Amazon or other online marketplace experience preferred
