Organizational Summary

Goodwill Industries of West Michigan is a non-profit organization headquartered in Muskegon, MI. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated primarily through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores. We have 17 retail stores and 2 employment and training centers operating in a region spanning Manistee to Holland to Cedar Springs.

Job Summary

Provides first level IT support for internal end-users, devices, peripherals, and software.

Responsibilities

• Triages requests for IT assistance from the help desk system, phone calls, and walk-ins – resolving or escalating as needed.
• Installs, modifies, and makes repairs to end-user computing devices, peripherals, and software including Point of Sale systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance for end-user and point-of-sale equipment at all locations.
• Assists in managing user accounts and access control.
• Manages company-issued cell phones.
• Supports IT-related construction projects, including cabling, camera systems, and A/V equipment.
• Maintains accurate documentation including ticket resolutions, knowledge books, and inventory.
• Guides staff on the use of equipment and software.

Education & Experience

Education

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field required

Experience

• 1 year in IT Support required
  
  
  

Certifications/Licenses

• Valid driver's license and insurance required
• Scissor lift license preferred
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Mobility: Required to stand; frequently walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Dexterity: Requires hands to manipulate, feel, reach, lift and/or carry.
• Sensory: Able to see objects, colors at close range or distance, peripheral, and depth vision, communicate orally with normal hearing decibel.
• Lifting: Medium work (frequently lifts and/or carries 25 to 50 lbs. using safety measures in place.)
• Driving: The operation of a motorized passenger vehicle or other vehicles such as forklifts.
• Climbing: Such as ladders or scaffolding
