Goodwill Monocacy Valley is a dynamic organization seeking an experienced Retail Store Operations Manager to lead our retail operations in Frederick, Maryland.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. As a Retail Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our sales floor, including people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Retail Operations Plans: Develop and execute comprehensive retail operations plans to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
- Monitor Product Levels and Costs: Monitor product levels and ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
- Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
- Promote the Goodwill Mission: Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission and serve as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
- Lead Sales Floor Operations: Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales floor and ensure that Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Managers are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
- Process Complex Transactions: Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns, and travel to other GCNA locations as needed.
- Participate in Performance Management: Participate in performance management, staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members, as well as drive company culture change efforts and change management processes.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required; one-year work experience in Retail Management preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to speak and read English proficiently.
