Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an innovative and experienced leader with a passion for our mission to join our team as Director of Process Improvement.
The Senior Director of Process Improvement will oversee and provide operational and strategic leadership for process improvement activities, strategic analysis, and visioning, resulting in advancements in quality, performance, and financial excellence. This role will also be responsible for establishing and implementing best practices and standardized processes.

Responsibilities:
- Plan lean process and strategic analysis efforts with Executive leadership; prioritize and facilitate process improvement activities.
- Maximize the value of products and services by reducing waste and improving efficiency and standardization of processes.
- Facilitate process improvement events.
- Coach and train staff on process improvement principles, tools, and techniques to ensure standardization and continuous improvement in operations.
- Provide data analysis to identify areas of opportunity and track and quantify the impact of strategic improvement and venture efforts.
- Analyze fiscal opportunities for growth, including DGR, real estate, and organizational areas.
- Assist the accounting department with technical needs as required in GL, AP, and AR.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers, vendors, and other agencies and community organizations.
- Provide special projects and strategic planning support as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Quality Management, Accounting, or a related field required; Master’s degree a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of process improvement methods and experience in financial management, strategic analytics, and people management.
- Significant process improvement experience of 5 years plus.
- Five (5) years of consulting or management experience in executive financial management, Kaizen, or Lean/Six Sigma required; experience with process improvement in administrative and human services settings preferred.
- Demonstrated success facilitating process improvement events and leading teams to success.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong people skills; must be able to work with and influence employees/customers at all levels within the organization, as well as external customers, vendors, and agencies.
- Superior project management skills, including estimating timelines and negotiating deadlines.
- Ability to solve problems, prioritize work assignments, and work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Proficiency with a variety of computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and Visio software.
