Job Description
As a Donation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing donations, inspecting and sorting items, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also categorize and sort merchandise, load and unload materials, and operate power equipment safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and accept donations, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Sort and categorize donations according to their type and value
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors and visitors
- Operate power equipment to organize and store donated goods
- Load and unload materials into containers
Requirements
To succeed as a Donation Specialist, you must possess strong mathematical and literacy skills, be flexible with your schedule, and demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude. A clear background check is also required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work
- Experience with thrift or used goods processing
- High school diploma or equivalent
