Position Summary
The National Sales Director will drive the growth of our freight forwarding business by developing new client relationships and expanding existing services across ocean, air, and domestic freight sectors. This role is the face of our company, and creates innovative logistics solutions and sustainable business growth. This is a hybrid role, based out of our corporate office in the NYC area.
National Sales Director Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the global logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including ocean and air freight.
- Proven success in sales, with expertise in prospecting and account development.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within a wide territory.
- Develop and grow the company's ocean and air freight business in assigned regions.
- Identify and qualify leads through cold calling and convert them into customers.
- Conduct regular visits to prospects and clients to strengthen relationships and increase market share.
- Report daily and weekly sales activities via email or CRM platforms like Salesforce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and align with company goals.
- 50% domestic travel estimate.
- Salary: Commensurate with experience, starting in the low $100s, with 110% bonus potential
