The School of Nursing and Health Professions at Goodwin University is seeking a MSN prepared individual to serve as a full-time (12 months) Course Coordinator for the Nursing Skill Development - NUR 100 for the Associate Degree Nursing Program beginning the Summer 2025.
We are seeking applicants whose teaching responsibilities will include laboratory, clinical and classroom, teaching.
This individual will:
- Teach the didactic adult medical / surgical content of NUR 100 for 15 weeks each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer)
- Facilitate the clinical experience in adult medical/surgical clinical settings relevant to NUR100
- Provide oversight of all NUR100 clinical adjunct faculty
- Facilitate the clinical experience in the laboratory and help to coordinate the clinical placements for NUR100
- Review and provide weekly feedback to students about their clinical performance and paperwork
- Complete midterm and final evaluations for assigned clinical group/s
- Submit the clinicals sign-up for the NUR100 clinicals at the conclusion of each semester
- Successful applicants will be expected to participate in departmental and University committees, faculty meetings, curriculum development, community day, graduation and contribute to student retention
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Prepared at the MSN level
- 3-5 years of adult nursing experience with a firm understanding of medical / surgical nursing
- Teaching experience with RN students is preferred
- An active license or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Health and Physical Assessment
- Pharmacotherapy
- Fundamentals of Nursing
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to scholarly activities and service in the profession.
- Excellent teaching, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
