Senior Manager, Central Operations

Gopuff is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Central Operations team. We are looking for an autonomous, self-starting, and strategic thinker willing to evaluate the landscape of opportunities, balance competing priorities, and tackle the most impactful projects with speed and precision. This role is ideal for a first-principles thinker who thrives in ambiguity, is unafraid to tackle seemingly impossible challenges, and is driven to deliver innovative solutions.

In this role, you will improve existing processes, create new ones, and drive critical initiatives across multiple functions—including Field Operations, Supply Chain, Distribution and Transportation, Data Analytics, Product & Engineering, Merchandising, and Business Development. Success in this role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration, influencing without authority, and ownership over projects where you will frequently need to lead without direct control over the execution.

The Central Operations team is small but highly effective, often tasked with delivering solutions for challenges that lack clear ownership. From process improvement and first-iteration tooling to change management and executive fire drills, this role demands technical expertise paired with operational excellence.

• Identify and prioritize high-impact projects across Field Operations, Supply Chain, Distribution, Transportation, Product, and other teams, balancing opportunities against organizational inertia.
• Develop and drive processes and strategies to improve KPIs and operational outcomes without direct authority over the executing teams.
• Design and implement new processes and tools while improving existing ones, often taking on initiatives with limited precedent.
• Act as a key liaison for cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment and momentum across multiple teams.
• Solve complex operational challenges, leveraging first-principles thinking and data analytics to develop actionable solutions.
• Support the leadership team with urgent, high-priority tasks, often stepping into undefined roles or taking ownership of projects that lack clear stakeholders.
• Build and maintain upward reporting structures to connect senior leadership with operational insights and progress updates.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing team members as needed.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of ownership, innovation, and results-driven execution across the organization.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in operations, cross-functional project management, supply chain, consulting, or a similar field.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver initiatives through influence without direct authority, driving progress across teams that don’t report to you.
• Experience managing high-impact projects requiring ownership, first-principles thinking, and innovative problem-solving.
• Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Management, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong analytical capabilities paired with the ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
• Technical aptitude and proficiency with data-driven decision-making; advanced Excel/Google Sheet, Looker, Snowflake, SQL or other data analytics/BI tools is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and solving challenges without predefined answers.
• Comfortable taking the nugget of an idea and transforming it into a full-fledged solution.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
