Description Gordon Brothers has an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our new Capital team. The Analyst is responsible for a high degree of proficiency in analyzing all quantitative data, determining clients’ industry positions and financial performance, and organizing the solutions that will lead to the successful completion of projects. This role will report into the Senior Managing Director, Head of Lending, North America, and be based in our Boston headquarters. In this role, you will: Provide analytical support for Capital, which includes due diligence, analysis, and data collection to ensure the accuracy of supplied information. Work in accordance with established methodology and utilize standard models and templates with direction. Assist with researching the retail, consumer products, industrial, and/or other market sectors. Identify, gather, and analyze relevant information to assess credit risk during underwriting. Perform company and industry analysis on key performance indicators such as inventory productivity, gross margin, and operating expenses to help determine value. Assist with preparation of credit approval memos and presentations that illustrate well-reasoned analysis Handle multiple projects with the support of a team, in a friendly learning environment. Develop a qualitative understanding of nuances that may affect asset values, and review findings with company management and clients. Provide additional analysis support as requested by management. Utilize the company’s CRM system Education, Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, finance, or related field, with a concentration in business, finance, accounting or economics 2-3 years analytical experience, or relevant internship experience Experience in a fast paced, complex, deal-driven, equity/capital risk environment required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong and demonstrated MS Excel and MS Word skills Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills Must be able to demonstrate strong judgement and sound credit skills including solid understanding of financial statement data Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task Ability to handle tight deadlines Must be able to work independently Self-motivated with the ability and willingness to manage multiple projects with a close attention to detail Periodic travel of up to 25% may be required Candidates should be aware that Gordon Brothers currently maintains a policy requiring all US based employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
