Estimator

A well-established underground utility contractor and is seeking to add an experienced

Underground Utility Estimator to our team.

Qualifications:

 Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent

 Requires a minimum of 5 years of construction experience in Underground Utilities-water,

sewer and storm on private or public projects

 Must have knowledge in MAG Standard Specifications and Standard Details, as well as local

supplements to MAG Specifications

 Must have thorough knowledge of the estimating process

 Must have excellent organization skills

 Must be detail oriented

 Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

 Must be able to work under stressful situations

 Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships

 Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision

 Experience using various computer systems with preferences in HCSS Heavy Bid, Planswift,

Microsoft Project, Word, Excel

Responsibilities:

The Estimator works closely with the Chief Estimator and is primarily responsible for performing

quantity estimates as it relates to underground utility - water, sewer, and storm

 Completes take o' per plans and specifications

 Creates accurate take o's from drawings using Planswift

 Requests, compares and summarizes quotes from vendors

 Estimates production and crew sizes using HCSS Heavy Bid
