SUMMARY


The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. Attention to Detail and strong analytical skills to review, reconcile, and process invoices. Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Report on personnel or product safety concerns to management.
  • Review and verify accuracy of invoices and billing data to our clients.
  • Process and send out invoices to clients.
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Sales and Operations) to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Process cash receipts from clients, via check, ACH, and wire payments to proper accounts.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including generating reports, and reconciling accounts.
  • Update Daily Cash Flow report (cash in-cash out).
  • Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and documentation.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing documentation as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field; minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
