Responsibilities
- Manage project cost accounting, including tracking budgets, expenditures, and variances.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable specific to construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and updates.
- Maintain general ledger entries and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Assist in preparing year-end financials and support audits.
- 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction accounting.
- Associates degree -accounting related is preferred
- Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
