Key Responsibilities For Manufacturing Plant Controller
- Oversee all financial and accounting functions for the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze plant performance, cost structures, and financial trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Partner with operations leadership to drive profitability and efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
- Manage inventory valuation, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and operational metrics.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or as an Assistant Controller.
- Manufacturing industry experience or relevant background working with manufacturing clients.
- Public accounting experience (audit) is a plus.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
