A well-established and stable agricultural company, GPAC, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Northern Kansas. This prominent operation requires an individual with at least 10 years of experience in accounting within the grain or agriculture industry.
The CFO will oversee all financial transactions, from point-of-sale to closing books, and prepare monthly financial statements. They will also partner with external sources to conduct audits and ensure adherence to current regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage external and internal audit, compliance, and related activities
- Distribute audited financial statements with comments to the board, bank, and vendors
- Maintain internal controls to ensure the safety and security of company assets
- Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings and compliance
- Maintain currency related to regulatory and compliance guidelines
Accounting - Financial and Cost:
- Manage and develop the accounting team
- Oversee preparation, quality, timeliness, and distribution of internal financial statements
- Ensure/maintain accurate, timely general ledger and review reconciling activities
- Oversee production and quality of other internal and sales reporting
- Manage all financial forecasting/budgeting activities
- Oversee A/P, A/R, and Fixed Asset accounting activities
Cash Management - Finance:
- Oversee all company banking relationships and activities
- Optimize capital, debt, cash, liquidity, and investment positions
