What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Gpac?
Gpac is currently with a small, family-owned food company outside of Cleveland, OH who is currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager.
The company has been in business for almost 20 years and has seen tremendous growth the last year. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager who can oversee and manage their plant processes, ensuring safety, production operations, inventory management, and timely distribution.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate plant operations including production operations, safety, quality, maintenance, inventory, and distribution
- Implement Strategic Operating Plan and Good Manufacturing Practices, including Key Performance Metrics such as attainment, delivery, and efficiency
- Develop and communicate plant goals and performance metrics, with weekly and monthly performance reports
- Evaluate equipment processes and procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies to maximize operational effectiveness including assisting with future certification processes and expansion projects
- Maintain close working relationships with customers, as appropriate, in the areas of customer service including complaints, new orders, order changes, product specifications, inventory, order fulfillment, and delivery
