Job Title: Trust Litigation Associate Attorney

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

GPAC has partnered with a local firm who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trust Litigation Associate Attorney to join their esteemed legal team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in trust and probate litigation, demonstrate strong analytical and advocacy skills, and be able to manage complex cases with a high degree of professionalism and client-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload related to trust and probate litigation, including disputes over trust validity, fiduciary breaches, and will contests.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support case strategies and ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, provide legal advice, and keep them informed about case developments.
  • Drafting Documents: Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials, presenting compelling arguments and evidence.
  • Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement legal strategies that align with clients' goals and maximize the likelihood of favorable outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management and effective legal representation.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with developments in trust and probate law and participate in relevant continuing legal education opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active membership in the California Bar Association or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience: Minimum [3-5] years of experience in trust and probate litigation or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases independently.
    • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to client service.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
