Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our communication strategies and initiatives.

The Director of Marketing & Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to strengthen the organization’s brand, elevate visibility, and engage key audiences. This position is responsible for leading high-impact marketing campaigns, managing both internal and external communications, and ensuring a cohesive brand voice across all channels. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Director aligns marketing initiatives with GRACE’s strategic objectives and mission, driving growth and impact.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual passionate about creative storytelling, strategic partnership development, and building meaningful relationships with all GRACE stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, coordinate and create all external communications for GRACE, inclusive of audiences in academics, parish, admissions, athletics, development, alumni, community, and higher education as well as information distribution, promotional messaging and event invitation and promotion.
  • Execute and maintain a strategic and comprehensive communications & marketing plan.
  • Organize, plan, write, proof and edit all content for GRACE, including print materials,

website copy, social media messages, email marketing, newsletter and advertising copy.

  • Write, edit and manage the GRACE website and social media pages with the support of the web content specialist.
  • Assist each school in the development and evaluation of their recruitment marketing plan and provide implementation support to increase enrollment year by year
  • Manage annual upgrades to the content materials of the GRACE marketing tool kit
  • Serve as the primary media relations contact, inclusive of writing news releases and presenting stories to media partners on a regular basis; developing relations with media partners and being on-site during press or media events.
  • Coordinate photography, design, print and advertising outlets with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team and web content specialist for all website enhancements and projects; monitor content to ensure the consistency of message is current and compelling.
  • With direction of the Executive Director of Advancement, conduct interviews, write stories and create creative content for newsletters or other marketing materials.
  • Consult with the Executive Director of Advancement to seek advance approval for all new, on-going and prospective projects related to Marketing and Communication.
  • Partner with leadership and all schools to ensure brand and message quality.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Advancement

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Clean, concise and well-polished writing ability
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on projects from inception to completion, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and supervise other team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor
  • Ability to work successfully independently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to function as a team member
  • Ability to analyze data and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Creative thinking and storytelling abilities
  • Knowledge or experience in education marketing
  • Knowledge or experience in communications or public relations
  • Graphic design skills
  • Knowledge and skills related to digital and social media tools and platforms such as Facebook, Google, Canva, Word, Publisher and Excel.
  • Knowledge related to a Catholic (faith-based) organization.
  • Knowledge of budget management
  • Ability to attend events outside of the work site or normal work hours.
  • Require a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Preferably a practicing Catholic and someone who can support our mission, “Building academic excellence and life skills while growing in our Catholic faith.”

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
