Position Summary:
The successful performance of the Volunteer Coordinator position requires meeting high standards in the following areas: Volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision. Data entry, administrative skills, maintaining a database (BetterImpact) of volunteer information, and record keeping in an EMR (Matrix). As well as providing continuing education for all active volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator works as member of the interdisciplinary team and acts as the liaison between volunteers and patient care teams.
Qualifications:
- College degree
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft office, Excel and Publisher and a willingness to learn other software programs.
- Excellent time management skills,
- Attention to detail, problem solving and adaptability are essential
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English (fluency in additional languages welcomed)
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to respect confidentiality
- Flexibility to work remotely
- Hospice experience preferred
