Volunteer Coordinator

SUMMARY
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, placing, managing and retaining volunteers to support the programs and services offered by Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency, Inc. This position ensures that volunteers are effectively integrated into the agency's mission, supporting its goals to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for self-reliance.

Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach :
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract a diverse group of volunteers.
- Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups to promote volunteer opportunities.
- Attend community events and networking opportunities to increase awareness of the agency's volunteer needs.

Perform other work duties and responsibilities as assigned.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A valid Minnesota State Driver's License required. Access to reliable transportation required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a standard office environment which requires occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, such articles as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and / or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and access to reliable transportation in order to attend meetings and events. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
