Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories (triage).
- Maintain accurate patient records (EMR) and basic coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with staff
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Educate patients about their treatment plans and provide instructions for follow-up care.
- Contact patients, pharmacies, and medical offices regarding labs, referrals, medications and healthcare.
- Manage Prior Authorizations and other insurance requests
Skills
- Proficient in patient care techniques with experience in medical office and lab settings.
- Knowledgeable in medication administration protocols and emergency medicine practices.
- Basic computer/tablet/laptop skills
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records(Athena), coding processes related to medical billing and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.67 - $16.46 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
